US Regional Conferences.

I have just returned from a tour of US regional bookseller conferences. This was a 'look & learn' mission for us - so a big shout out to all the wonderful organisers and bookshops that took the time to chat.

I can report that local bookselling is alive and well in the US regions. The things that stood out for me were the variety of stores and not just the creative blend of used and new book selling, but the integration of cafes and even bars! (Tough job visiting these stores!)

Book bans are the hot topic this year which honestly had me scratching my head with some of the books that had made it onto the various banned lists.
